Hi, Mike! it´s really cool this laptop...
Here, in Argentina, we have to multiply by almost 4 (1 u$s = $3,92) the costs of all products plus taxes. I read your comment and went to Asus site. I found this beast that will eat the battery.. and our pockets! it´s quadcore...

Hmm interesting Jordan, I don't have much faith in manufacture warranties anyways. Although I had awesome expereinces with Dell and Apple, I guess Asus's "global warranty' claim is a bit dubious.

Hey there Mike.
Before I start I work at a large big name computer store BE$TBUY, I work at the G33KSQUAD section. I will be honest the ASUS's are sexy machines but once they break the MFG wont care at all for its consumer's - well at least with my experience at least. Something even funnier we at G33KSQUAD can't even work on them due to the MFG over protectedness or how dumb our service center is. The ASUS all in all are wonderful machines and are very light-weight for the power they have, just a word from the peanut gallery;make sure you can service this laptop on your on down the road since MFG and seller *WILL* drop you like a little kid with a hotpocket!
